Fès Alhambra Drum Basin

This basin is handmade in Fès, a city where Moroccan and Andalusian craft traditions have mixed for centuries. Each one is shaped and painted by artisans.

The Fès Alhambra Drum Basin is painted in cobalt, sky blue and deep burgundy on warm ivory. Inside, a sixteen-point star radiates from the drain, drawn in fine black line and filled with blue florals and lattice. A burgundy band set with small blossoms circles the star, and above it runs a garland of cobalt flowers. A bold cobalt-and-ivory checkerboard frames the rim like a woven crown.

The outside is painted too. A wide band of burgundy lattice, dotted with blue and ivory blossoms, wraps around the drum between clean ivory borders, so the basin looks as good from the side as from above.

Every line, petal and square is painted by hand, so the design has the depth and precision of real artisan work. No two basins are quite the same.

The straight-sided drum shape sits above the counter and has a clean, architectural profile. It pairs well with brushed brass or aged gold tapware, cream marble, limestone and travertine benchtops, and warm plastered or tadelakt walls. It suits Moroccan, Andalusian, Mediterranean, coastal and heritage interiors, and makes a strong centrepiece in a powder room, guest bathroom or boutique hospitality space.

Made to order in your size

Each basin is made to order. Sizes start at 20 cm in diameter for compact powder rooms and guest bathrooms, and go up to larger statement sizes for main bathrooms and double vanities. Tell us your preferred diameter and your benchtop layout, and we'll confirm the dimensions, lead time and freight before production begins.

Care

Clean with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals and scouring pads, which can dull the glaze over time.

Please note

Each basin is hand-thrown and hand-painted, so slight variations in pattern, colour, glaze and dimensions are natural to the craft and part of its charm. Waste, pop-up and tapware are sold separately. Installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

Returns & Cancellations:

As all our products are handcrafted to order, we have a specific returns policy:

• Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase
• After 24 hours: cancellations are not accepted as production may have begun
• Damaged items: we replace or refund any product damaged during shipping — photo evidence required
• Custom orders (custom colors, sizes, patterns) are non-refundable
• Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery

All Andalusian products are made to order by our master artisans in Fez, Morocco:

• Zellige Fountains: 3–4 weeks
• Pottery Basins: 2–3 weeks
• Mosaic Tables: 3–5 weeks
