A starlit Christmas night, handmade in Italy. Castello delle Stelle is a traditional Neapolitan presepe set beneath a deep-blue night sky. A white crenellated castle and round tower crown the cork peaks, little village houses glow from their windows, sheep graze behind a rustic fence, and a mossy waterfall tumbles beside the stairway — while below, three warmly lit caves shelter the Holy Family, the angel and the visiting kings.

Every detail is shaped by hand from natural cork, wood, moss and paper. Switch on the lights and the caves and windows glow amber; as the room grows dark, the stars on the night-sky backdrop begin to shine.

A rare collector's piece. Handmade Italian presepi like this are seldom seen in Australia, and only 3 are available — a statement centrepiece to bring out every Christmas and pass down.

Care

Display indoors on a stable, level surface away from direct sun, heat and moisture. Dust gently with a soft dry brush. Remove the batteries from the star backdrop when storing after the festive season.
