The Caracola is a sculptural water feature that brings movement and form to modern outdoor spaces. A single wide ribbon of weathering corten steel curls up from the water like a breaking wave or a seashell, rising to 120 cm before ending in a clean horizontal lip.
From that lip, a clear sheet of water pours down past the spiral and into the generous rectangular basin below. The basin measures 120 x 90 cm and 40 cm high, and it makes a soft, steady sound that helps mask traffic and neighbours.
Corten steel develops a deep orange-brown rust patina that matures over time, so the Caracola sits naturally among planting, gravel, stone and timber. After dark, a warm white light set into the spout at the top of the curl shines down through the falling water, making it glow golden, turning it into a striking evening centrepiece for courtyards, entries, gardens and pool areas.
Supplied with a pump and a warm white spout light, the Caracola is ready to enjoy once filled and connected to power.

CARE NOTES
- Corten steel may release rust run-off during the first months as the patina forms. Place it away from light-coloured paving, or protect the surrounding surface, until the patina stabilises.
- Keep the basin topped up so the pump never runs dry, especially in hot or windy weather.
- Clean the pump regularly and use a fountain-safe water treatment to reduce algae.
- Place on a level, solid base such as concrete or compacted pavers.
- Colour and patina vary from piece to piece and continue to develop over time. This is a natural feature of corten steel.
THE NAME
Caracola (kah-rah-KOH-lah) is Spanish for seashell. It suits the fountain's spiral curl, which rises from the water like a shell or a breaking wave. It sits well alongside Vergel, Remanso, Caldera, Luna, Eclipse and Azabache in the corten range.
