Gran Borgo del Forno – Grand Handmade Italian Nativity Village with Windmill, Oven & Fountain

The grandest village in our Christmas Collection, handmade in Italy. Gran Borgo del Forno is a rare, large-scale presepe in the great Neapolitan tradition: a towering hillside village of stone cottages with terracotta roofs, brick arches, two winding stone stairways, a windmill high above the rooftops and a red-brick wood-fired oven, all gathered around the Nativity grotto. It is shaped by hand from natural cork, wood, moss and paper, with weathered rock walls, trailing moss and lantern-lit doorways at every level.

Switch it on and the whole village comes to life. Warm lights glow from windows and alcoves, the oven burns a fiery orange, the windmill turns, and a waterfall fountain runs into a brick basin beside the Holy Family, powered by the included electric pump. At 85 cm wide, it is a true statement centrepiece for the Christmas season, and one to bring out year after year.

A true collector's piece. Italian presepi of this size and detail are very rarely seen in Australia. With only 5 available, this is a piece to treasure and hand down.

Delivery

Pickup from our Riverstone Warehouse (81 Riverstone Parade, Riverstone NSW 2765), or local delivery within 25 km of Riverstone. Local delivery is free on orders of $800 or more; for smaller orders, delivery can be arranged for a fee — contact us for a quote.

On request, we can transfer your piece to our Castle Hill Showroom (19 Victoria Avenue, Shop 6, Castle Hill NSW 2154) for pickup, with 48 hours' notice.

Not available for shipping interstate or overseas. Each piece is handmade in Italy from natural cork, wood, moss and paper, and is too fragile for long-distance freight and repeated handling.

Care

Display indoors on a stable, level surface away from direct sun, heat and moisture. Dust gently with a soft dry brush. Fill the fountain basin with clean water only and keep the pump submerged while running.
