Grotta della Cascata – Handmade Italian Nativity Grotto with Lights & Waterfall

A quiet mountain grotto, handmade in Italy. Grotta della Cascata ("the waterfall grotto") is a traditional Neapolitan presepe carved into a rugged cork hillside. Beneath an overhanging rock arch, the Holy Family gathers before a curved wall of hand-laid stones, lit by a single warm light, while beside them a waterfall runs down the cliff into a small blue pool edged with moss and a weathered branch.

Every rock, stone and tuft of moss is shaped by hand from natural cork, wood, moss and paper. Switch it on and the light glows across the stone wall while the included electric pump keeps water flowing down the waterfall — a calm, natural scene sized for a shelf, mantel or side table.

A rare collector's piece. Handmade Italian presepi are seldom seen in Australia, and only 8 are available — a treasured piece to bring out every Christmas.

Delivery

Available in Sydney only, for pickup or local delivery. Not available for shipping interstate or overseas.

Care

Display indoors on a stable, level surface away from direct sun, heat and moisture. Dust gently with a soft dry brush. Fill the water basin with clean water only and keep the pump submerged while running.
