Fès Miel Hand-Painted Ceramic Basin with Gold Rim

This basin is handmade in Fès, a city known for centuries of ceramic craftsmanship, and each one is shaped and painted by artisans. It is light, warm and quietly luxurious.

The Fès Miel Basin is painted in soft honey-gold on bright white. A fine lattice of overlapping arcs, each with a small dot at its centre, covers the inside and outside of the bowl like delicate scales or lace. A polished gold rim picks up the warm tones of the linework, so the basin has a gentle, sunlit glow.

Every arc and dot is painted by hand, which gives the pattern a lightness and subtle irregularity that printed ceramics can't match. No two basins are quite the same.

The rounded bowl sits above the counter. It pairs beautifully with brushed brass or aged gold tapware, cream marble, limestone and travertine benchtops, and warm plastered walls. It suits modern Mediterranean, Parisian, Hollywood Regency, coastal and luxury contemporary interiors, and brings warmth to ensuites and powder rooms without overpowering them.

Made to order in your size

Each basin is made to order. Sizes start at 20 cm in diameter for compact powder rooms and guest bathrooms, and go up to larger statement sizes for main bathrooms and double vanities. Tell us your preferred diameter and your benchtop layout, and we'll confirm the dimensions, lead time and freight before production begins.

Care

Clean with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Take extra care around the gold rim: avoid scouring pads, bleach and harsh chemicals, which can wear the finish over time.

Please note

Each basin is hand-thrown and hand-painted, so slight variations in pattern, colour, glaze, rim finish and dimensions are natural to the craft and part of its charm. Waste, pop-up and tapware are sold separately. Installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.
