This basin is handmade in Fès, a city with centuries of ceramic craftsmanship, and each one is shaped and painted by artisans. Its design draws on the architecture that made the city famous.
The Fès Médersa Basin is painted in deep bottle green on warm ivory. Two rings of graceful arches step down towards the drain, like the colonnaded courtyards of Fès's historic médersas, and a small cluster of dots sits inside each arch. A trailing vine border and a glossy green rim frame the design, and the arches continue around the outside of the bowl.
Every line is painted by hand, so the pattern has a quiet rhythm and a handmade warmth that printed ceramics can't match. No two basins are quite the same.
The wide, flared bowl sits above the counter and shows off the full painted interior. It pairs especially well with brushed brass or aged gold tapware, cream marble, limestone and travertine benchtops, and warm plastered walls. It suits Moroccan, Mediterranean, heritage, English country and luxury contemporary interiors, and looks superb alongside timber vanities and indoor greenery.
