Fès Impérial Hand-Painted Ceramic Basin with Engraved Brass Rim

The Fès Impérial Basin is painted in deep black on bright ivory. Ornate arabesque medallions, each filled with scrolling detail, radiate from a central rosette like the petals of a flower. Fine black lines divide the bowl into panels, and the design continues around the outside.

A broad, hand-engraved metal band wraps the rim, and a matching band sits at the base. Their intricate chased patterns catch the light and frame the monochrome design in warm gold tones.

Every line of the painting and every mark of the engraving is done by hand, so each basin is a small work of art. No two are quite the same.

The flared bowl sits above the counter as a real centrepiece. It pairs beautifully with brushed brass or aged gold tapware, cream marble, limestone and travertine benchtops, and warm plastered walls or carved timber screens. It suits Moroccan, Andalusian, heritage, Art Deco and luxury interiors. It's designed for a powder room, guest suite or boutique hospitality space that needs to make a lasting impression.

Made to order in your size

Each basin is made to order. Sizes start at 20 cm in diameter for compact powder rooms and guest bathrooms, and go up to larger statement sizes for main bathrooms and double vanities. Tell us your preferred diameter and benchtop layout, and we'll confirm the dimensions, lead time and freight before production begins.

Care

Clean the ceramic with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Wipe the metal rim dry after use. Avoid bleach, abrasive pads and harsh chemicals, which can damage the engraved finish. A natural patina may develop over time, which adds to its character.

Please note

The ceramic is hand-thrown and hand-painted, and the metalwork is engraved by hand. Slight variations in pattern, colour, glaze, engraving and dimensions are natural to the craft and part of its charm. Waste, pop-up and tapware are sold separately. Installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

Returns & Cancellations:

As all our products are handcrafted to order, we have a specific returns policy:

• Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase
• After 24 hours: cancellations are not accepted as production may have begun
• Damaged items: we replace or refund any product damaged during shipping — photo evidence required
• Custom orders (custom colors, sizes, patterns) are non-refundable
• Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery

All Andalusian products are made to order by our master artisans in Fez, Morocco:
