This basin is handmade in Fès, a city known for centuries of ceramic craftsmanship, and each one is shaped and painted by artisans. Its soft colours and gentle oval shape make it one of the most distinctive pieces in the collection.
The Fès Lys Basin is painted in soft mint, cobalt, saffron and aubergine, with fine black linework on ivory. Stylised lily blossoms with saffron stamens open across the bowl, framed by mint-green arabesque panels and flowing black scrolls. A cluster of cobalt dots surrounds the drain, and saffron dots and aubergine accents highlight each end of the oval. Outside, bold black scrolls sweep around the basin on a clean ivory ground.
Every line and dot is painted by hand, so the design feels soft and lively in a way printed ceramics can't match. No two basins are quite the same.
The elongated oval shape sits above the counter and suits narrower vanities and benchtops where a round basin would feel crowded. It pairs well with brushed brass or aged gold tapware, cream marble, limestone and travertine benchtops, and warm plastered walls or timber vanities. It suits Moroccan, bohemian, French provincial, cottage and eclectic interiors, and brings a soft, romantic touch to a powder room or guest bathroom.
